Ice Climbers

Merry Christmas... Too late? Well, I got this idea too late for the contest, so I'm putting it up now Anyways, best of wishes for 2015

This lovely duo are Popo (in blue) and Nana (in pink). Brother and sister, they make a living of climbing mountains, icicle mountains at that, and clubbing cute little seals strange icy fuzzballs. While jumping their mountain, they collect vegetables and jump at the condor at the end of the stage. That's pretty much all I can say for their original game Ice Climber on the NES.
However, I based this one more on their appearance in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Brawl. Why did I decide to make this pair instead of any other SSB character? Because they are awesome and they are not in SSB4!! *throws table* Yes, I'm still angry about that. Don't make a game on a console that can't handle the game. *looks angrily at his 3DS* Not just that though, Masahiro Sakurai didn't see a future in the series of the Ice Climbers on WiiU, so he thought, naah, I can't make money of an Ice Climber Amiibo, so I won't include them. And yes, characters got picked BEFORE development began.
Anyway, back to this dynamic duo. They use their hammers to smash their opponents to the end of the world and they do it as a team. You take control of Popo (or Nana, depending on the colorscheme you picked) and Nana mirrors your every move, which makes them ultra deadly. They can also use freeze powers to freeze their foes and use a handy rope to throw each other up to get back onto the stage. Their Final Smash was the Iceberg, which was just that, a massive Iceberg manifested in the middle of the stage, damaging and freezing everyone who touched it. Their movement was heavily based on their NES game, especially the jumping. I loosely based this sprite on their trophy in SSBM. If you look closely, Nana has placed her hand on Popo's right shoulder. Her jumping pose looks similar to how it looked in the original game.

Now, let's have a moment of silence of their untimely demise. *takes off his hat*

EDIT: Smash for the Switch? Maaaaaybe then finally..... Also, I think it's going to be a DX port, not a completely new game.
