Yang Xiao Long

And then there is the fourth member of team RWBY, Yang Xiao Long, Ruby's half-sister. The best way to describe her character is by quoting her voice actress Barbara Dunkelman: "She is the kind of person who would teach someone how to swim by pushing them in the water." Really straightforward, confident and energetic, but also caring and enthousiastic.  Yang usually has a happy-go-lucky attitude, and will do what she can to keep her little sister safe. She will always smile as she attacks her opponent, confident in her own abilities. Just don't touch her hair, because losing even the slightest strand will make her go berserk, adding to her power with each punch.

Yang and Ruby share the same father. Her mother has vanished from view, leaving Yang in the hands of her father. Yang has spent most of her life trying to solve the mystery behind the identity and wherabouts of her mother. While Ruby's mother has died, she also takes the role of mother of Ruby on her own shoulders.

In battle, Yang uses her gauntlets, which she has named Ember Celica, to punch her way through her enemies. She can also use the bulletshells inside to shoot and launch her fists into her enemies with even more force. She always carries them around as bracelets, but when in battle, they can transform into gauntlets, guarding all the way up to her elbows. Both gauntles harness great power, giving Yang the ability to smash through floors and smash her enemies through walls.

That concludes the four members of team RWBY (As mentioned, an acronym made up of the first names of the girls: Ruby, Weiss, Blake, Yang). Next up... a Christmas break, but after that, (spoilers) team JNPR (Juniper).
